pretty simple question okay so i record 3 tracks on my fostex mr-8 (1,2,3)
and i need it to be on track 7/8 to export it to the computer how do i get it there? :? and the reason i dont record on track 7/8 is because its only 2 tracks and theres only 1 vol. knob at no panning/reverb controls

I had a look through the manual online and it looks like your gonna have to mixdown to tracks 7/8 then export. So, if your planning on mixing on the computer, you might be out of luck unless you export each track one-by-one.

Check the manual on Page 70 for "Bouncing tracks 1 through 6 to tracks 7/8".

My friend had a MR-8, and we just transfered the tracks as waves. Just plugged the mr-8 into the computer, and zip zap zoop, there were some audio files. Then just arrange them in your audio program.

what I used to do is record 4 tracks, put them on the computer, mix them the way I want, then put it back on the mr-8 as tracks 7/8 and record 4 more tracks, then mix it all together on the computer.

woot.

mr-8s are pretty cool.
