I have been investigating my options with my CAR Jagmaster body. It has been upgraded with Lindy Fralin Texas Special Jazzmaster pups and a custom Jagmaster pickguard. I discovered a crack in the body that extends from the bridge post down into the spring claw area on the other side. I am unsure how to proceed.

My options include:
Fix the crack and convert to a Jazzmaster guitar (Fill the tremolo cavity, adding the Jaguar tremolo/bridge, and repainting)
Pull the pups and start over with a new Jazzmaster body. (I have Ash guitar stock and a Jazzmaster body trace)
For some reason, I can not decide if it's worth the investment to put additional funds into a compromised body if I can build a brand new one.

well dude, if you're going to chuck it, try to aim this way, yeah?
I think what I would try to do is strip it, cut out the entire bridge cavity, plug it and then figure out what my bridge options are.
I think whatever you stand to loose in terms of dollars and time is completely counterbalanced in gained experience.

Sell it on the classifieds, and get yourself a new body from USACG or something similar. You will then have the option of installing the JM trem instead of the strat.

That is badass! I was going to fill the cavity in my Jagmaster and convert it to a Jaguar, but I ended up selling it and buying a Jaguar CP HH.

if you like it want only want to spend about 5 mins and 5 bucks to fix it then.....
open up the crack as much as you can and get some titebound glue in there, then clamp it flush to the top of the body and put it back where it should be.
and since its also in the spring claw area i would suggest sanding that area down and laying a layer of epoxy over it for added protection.
oh, and also, dowl the og hole and re-drill it.
that should put you in a good spot. and if you are a hardtail player, don't screw the bridge down all the way via the two studs give it some breathing room(about 1mm should be sufficient) but if you use the trem alot, then give it 1.5mms-3 mms depending on your existing action.

As I am EXTREMELY new here, I respectfully vote, "None of the above". That being said, I would really liked to have seen the front with the pickguard off. If the crack is what I suspect, I would fix this body and put it back like it was. You seem to indicate, you'd like a change, as both of your poll choices leave you with a Jazzmaster, not a Jagmaster. If that's the case, make your own body and get exactly what you want and don't look back
i didn't vote because i wasn't sure what to suggest. i'm still thinking on it.

That´s not the first or seccound jagmaster i see crack in bridge.
be far that´s need a project fix by fender or change the place of Bridge Post´s
what happining is your guitar nevermore will be same, sorry tell you but bridge thumb damaged nevermore is same, don´t matter what glue you use or what you do.
what can be madded for fix if you wanna use tremolo again is Saw the damaged part and remake the post´s whole on new wood. once wood had whole can´t sustain at damaged point anymore need reinforcement. and good madded reinforcement. the pressure a tremolo does on wood ain´t joke. Leo Fender don´t approved 6 screws because it´s beautiful, Because it´s proved need reinforcement. If want do a different design need be Strong reforced.
my Floyd guitar´s for example had reinforcement at two joint´s. all them.
that´s should be a joke by fender.
just press at google , jagmaster bridge broke or jagmaster bridge split.
