Luxury Cat Bed

Post by Narco Martenot »

Hello, I hope all of you do not mind me posting once again. This should be the last for a bit, I think.

This project is the LFC-002, which is the second model in a series of luxury cat furniture. This bed was made for my cat Amélie.

The bed consists of a wooden back and top, with copper railing and legs. The cushion is made of several layers of lambswool knit fabric, topped with two layers of cashmere knit fabric. The bottom of the base features a painting, which is a still from the Norman McLaren film, "Animated Motion #5".

Amélie absolutely loves jumping in front of the camera -- she is so patient and seems to understand what is going on. She is such a great cat.

I don't think you have to worry about anyone here getting sick of your threads. I think pretty much everyone admires your work.

Very nice, as usual. I suspect some of the cat owners here will love that.

Awwww, she's a cute little tortie! Here's my tortie. Her name is Sugar, and she's a senior kitty (about 13 years old - nobody's really sure, since she was left in a taped up box, outside the entrance to the animal shelter I volunteer at, on a hot June day in 2005). The little black bonehead, is Sarah. She's also a sweetheart.

I get the feeling Narco's house looks alot like a MOMA exhibit.

To sort of echo what Richard has said, my only gripe about your work is that I simply don't see enough of it.

I've never seen a style that so closely matches what I would create and surround myself with if I had the time -- or more importantly, the talent. You live and breathe in a world I can only visit when I'm asleep.

Fantastic.

Agreed! Narco has some phenom chops.

How on earth do you find the time or materials? I was expecting overstuffed and covered with fur. I should have realized it would have teh awesome copperz. The trace amounts of cat pee will help it oxidize.

The closest thing I have to that degree of advanced super project will be bending maple to fix the white Falcon.

This is pretty much all I do right now. Most of the materials that I use are either given to me (which are lots of times junk to others), just randomly found; or sometimes actually purchased. I am very good at shopping, so I tend to find things very inexpensively.
