A) It's got a Bronco pickguard, pickup setup.
B) It's got a maple neck, (correct me if I am wrong here, I have never seen a maple neck'd MusicMaster)
C) REFIN

The picture of the back of the guitar makes the neck look like a short scale guitar neck with a massive bass head stock.
The thing looks goofy to me.

yup its a fake, most likely a bronco bass with some sort of re-shaped headstock.
the stripes, matching stock, maple neck, and lack of good pictures would deem this sale a FAIL!

They need to take that strip back to the Stripestore* and get their money back.
*ancient joke is ancient.

IF THE STRIPESTORE IS FAKE THEN HOW COMES I ORDERED A COMP STRIPE WITH ANARCHY SYMBOL FOR MY STRAT????//
HUH?
def looks like a squier bronco, but my pickguard i don't recall being that exact same shape. also, big headstock is huge, and those are decent looking tuners. not $400+ decent, mind you.

Two bridge saddles and the larger details like the pickguard shape, the pickup, well.. everything makes it definitely a Squier Bronco (the type that comes mostly in Torino Red and some in Black) with a refin.

Yeah, it's definately a modded bronco.
Offtopik.
I recently picked up a Black Bronco, put some Fender amp knobs and a Hot rails in it, the thing is smokin'.
Cheers

Musicmaster basses never came stock with maple necks, though a maple Mustang bass neck would fit.
This is a modded Squier Bronco Bass for sure. The most amazing thing is the price... the guy wants $449 for it!?!?!?! Stock Bronco basses sell new for $150, a real vintage Musicmaster bass can be found for the price that he's asking.
Of course, I can't post in this thread without showing off my own (and if I do say so myself, better) Bronco Bass to Musicmaster Bass conversion. I've since added a white perloid thumbrest since the pic was taken.

I have been to this place quite a few times so I emailed them. They too it in on a trade in and F'd up on ID'ing it.. They told me they were gonna mod the sale. weill see if they get to it. It has no serial number and the dude seriosuly thought it was a one off musicmaster bass. Again, we will see if he changes the ad.

That thing looks gorgeous, Hotrod. I have an extra "Fender Musicmaster Bass" decal somewhere, if you want it (and if I can remember where I put it) I'll mail it to you.
I was going to put a 4 saddle/string through bridge on mine too, but I found that the stock bridge works surprisingly well. It even intonates perfectly.
