I think I got a good deal on my Whammy (WH-1)

ok, so I bought a Digitech Whammy WH-1 at a pawn shop the other day for $60. I have since checked the going rate for these pedals on ebay and I see them fetching like $600+. I have tried googling 'fakes' and also tried to find a resource for digitech serial numbers to confirm that I am sitting on a gold mine. Can anybody shed some light on this situation? Did I really walk away with as good a deal as I think I did?
It looks like this:

yes! The weird ac/ac adaptor. The guy at the shop offered it for free, so I didn't try to haggle him down from $60.

Excellent!
Thinks - some poor sucker probably only got $30 from the pawn shop in the first place. Ow.

Damn that's nice. One went not too long ago for $1200 or some crazy price like that. Get you a bypass box and rock out!!!

What's the appeal of the old whammies? Better tracking? Better tone?

They got true bypass AFAIK. The new Whammy 4 has buffered bypass, but also has two or three new modes.

That's a find dude. The originals go for more because of the people who used them. Most of the famous whammy users, used that model. So you have the combination of a "vintage" effect, artist/fanboy value, and some people who think it tracks differently than the whammy IV.

I've been dicking around with it, having lots of fun

. I love the detune feature, I could spend all day just springing chords from unholy dissonance to perfect pitch. The thing tracks chords pretty well on a lot of settings.
I am actually pretty broke right now, and I almost hesitated dropping $60. I figured I must be getting some shitty Whammy variant (i.e. XP-100) or something. How could the pawn guys not know their shit!? Lucky me.

				great find
the original is the one hailed by people like tom morello. he still uses it to this day.
i did toy with getting one, but my EX-7 does a pretty good whammy (same company).

I've got the WH-4 and I'm really not a fan of it.
I don't find myself using it that much. Way more intrigued by the XP-300.

I believe there is more analogue maguffins in the original than later ones. I might be misremembering . Whatever the case that is an incredible find for the money.

Flip that shit and get a HOG or something and then have about 150 left over. What a bargain man. You could pay a few months rent with that.

ns, deal of the century here.
i'd flip it, and get a H3 (my fave) and then buy some other cool shit. great find.
the coolest shit at my pawn shops is solid state fender bass amps (ghey) and nicely taxedermied jackalopes.

Shit, that's quite a find. I'd hold on to it for a little while (until the market recovers a little) and sell the hell out of it. Maybe try the Gear Page, those guys always have money to spend.
