I believe we'd agree that such would definitely be a step up from the Randy Rose V, Icey. Do an try, but I'd go for artwork influenced by Jimi's guitar rather than a clone, kinda like Pacafelix's handpainted Strat.
Needless to say. there's never a need for a...

well Rhoad´s one was a Replica of a Prototype. i like White Beauty.
jimmy guitar is just a strat whit a paint. instead i get at ebay an modern body
but i wanna go kinda more .
Do a 62´ exactly replica like. when i mean exatly this time i want 101% of measures like. will be a impressive redemption of 1962 one. i wanna had a vintage strato into my colection, modern one i can visit a guitar store and get, but .... nah i want vintage radius neck one
3 of my guitars are all modern neck´s. 2 shortscales This time i going for ... Vintage full scale
and artwork of Jimmy Hendrix on it.
feel thing´s like Guitar´s tuner sorry i going commit again heresy and going modern ones.
so basically it´s a Hendrix tribute at Art. and Leo Fender tribute in my attempt do a 1962 , 100% like replica. except neck 99% , Tuners again will be modern ones, but oval pegheads for visual
since i can´t pay over 20mil bucks for get a original one
also Hendrix is 68 i don´t want replicate a 68 , Clone / Clone will be artwork.
let´s do a project why no

you should use the tone pros klusons. they look like vintage tuners but are made like modern sealed tuners.
yes, they are similar. maybe the tonepros are contracted out to grover. but the grover brand ones aren't split shaft. also, the tonepros are stamped the "kluson deluxe". more period correct.

This project needs more Floyd Rose.
I keeeed! Sounds coolio to me. I agree on doing 'inspired by' art if the spirit moves you enough to have a crack at it.

Hendrix light many paths Icey
I look forward to following this project, you could do it on a shoe string minus the paint job to be honest. Some Squier parts are such great quality it will be a good player at little cost. Personally i'd find a MIK neck and use any body then perhaps spend more on hardware.

So i was shredding out the crazy train and bark at the moon solos yesterday when i got to thinking "I wonder how icey is doing?" How have you been man? Hows that custom SLO100 working out for you? That is definitely a badass rig. Good luck on the hendrix strat. I recommend a 5 way switch and noiseless pickups of some sort.

was thinking about Warmoth for body and neck, my doubt is they follow 100% fender vintage at vintage choices
