It was purchased new as a wedding present for a bass player by his bride. He never used it.
Reckon they're divorced now?

I really wanted to 'have a go' for that Bronco, but the seller wasn't willing to send to the UK.
On a side note, what would you say a good price for a 77 Musicmaster (black, good condt with case) would be.
I have the option of buying one at £400-450.
Ian.

Here in the states, that'd be on the high side for a late 70's Musicmaster but not a bad price. I've seen them go for around $500 USD. If you like the color and if they tend to sell more in the UK (which I am guessing they would), I'd say go for it!

I think it might be a touch high for the UK but perhaps about right. There are definitely a few people here who would know, though.

Cheers, I really want either a Bronco or Musicmaster, but just can't seem to find any good ones, especially any in the UK. Do any come up in the 'Marketplace'?

Your best bet for buying a Bronco is importing one from America. Probably even buying one on this forum if one comes up. They aren't very common, particularly so over here.
Musicmasters are fairly easy to come by, but they vary in the pre 64, musicmaster II and 70s versions so deciding which you want (or letting your budget decide for you to an extent) can help narrow it down.

i've been looking for one for awhile too but can't seem to score one locally. And the Broncos keep selling for more than I expect. I guess I am in denial of their going prices these days.
