Is that guitar any good?
Intersting chart you linked there Nick. Was surprised the Jagmaster was 19th. I saw one of the Jet Kings in a shop in Bath the other week and asked the assistent about it and he said you would be better off with a CV Duo Sonic if you wanted that "surf" guitar lookNickS wrote:It must be good for something. For example, my friend James took the twisted neck off his crappy Chinese Strat copy and uses it to prop up the bonnet of his car when he's working on it.
Can you be more specific?
Anyway, have you seen http://www.musicradar.com/tuition/guita ... -213316/13 ?
I'd second this. Generally Ibanez are solid as all get out.Fran wrote:Okay, i'll answer then.
They are okay, essentially it's an intermediate/beginners guitar but with a few upgrades could last you years. Ibanez dont make crap, even their budget guitars would put more expensive models by other brands to shame, especially concerning playability. The GAX DC models are awesome for the money.
If you can, try before you buy.
Tu ingles esta bien. Mucho mas mejor de me espanol. Bienvenidos!electricsparkle wrote:Hi!
I have one in red and I think is so good for the price (I've paid 185€ for it)....but...right now I'm taking all the paint off (don't know the word in english ) and has a thick paint job...If the woods look good maybe I'll finish it natural....but a don't know yet. Hope wil post photos when something comes up.
Excuse me if I made some mistakes...it's late, I'm tired and from Spain
A love this forum btw .
A ORM 1 popped up on craigslist near me for $300. I've always kind of wanted one but figured if I had $600 dollars to put towards a guitar I'd get a used Jag but I was seriously tempted.Thom wrote:I've got the Ibanez Omar guitar (ORM-1) and I think it's great. Basically a Jet King with only one pup and one volume. Build quality is good and sounds good too. Certainly impressive for the price.
Damn straight! That guitar is lovely...BacchusPaul wrote:I'd second this. Generally Ibanez are solid as all get out.Fran wrote:Okay, i'll answer then.

Definitely post pics when you have them.
Oh, and welcome to the boards.
Yeah, in French, it's "décaper". French and Spanish are pretty similar.electricsparkle wrote:Thankslaterallateral wrote:"stripping" is the word you're looking for, son.

So, I'm stripping all the stuff....hope I can find some place for doing ir properly
In spanish is "decapar"...like removing all the layers of the paint.
Its a Hofner Colorama special.mage wrote:yeah, what guitar is that paul? looks like an "Artist Jr." or something.
I hadn't realised how cheap Hofner's were. I've been checking out Thomann and they're pretty reasonable, they'd probably be even reasonabler if the pound wasn't so weak.Noirie. wrote:Its a Hofner Colorama special.mage wrote:yeah, what guitar is that paul? looks like an "Artist Jr." or something.
