Custom guitar decals!

I think a few people might already know about this shop but thought I'd post it anyway:

http://www.decartdecals.com/about.html

The guy is called Simon, he can make almost any decal from any year. I recently bought a 60's Jaguar decal from him and he is great to deal with, very good communication etc...one decal cost me £7.99 with free postage, I'm not sure if prices differ though. The decal was very good quality, looked just as good as Fender ones. He does custom decals too.

He said he didn't mind me posting his email address here: simon@decartdecals.com

:)

P.S. I have no connection with this person, I'm posting it because I thought it would be useful for those doing projects. I'm pleased to find someone else doing this after Decal Joe got shut down.

Great link. Some otherwise impossible to find decals there too like the Jag-stang.

I'm not sure if it's because I'm using Opera or because the site is lacking an update but there are no pictures in the 'finished' section showing how they look applied to a guitar.

I just checked and they aren't showing up on mine either, I will stick mine on later and try to post some pics up so you get an idea of how they look.

Take a before pic to post on here, too. Just the decal on it's own.

The gold is properly shiny stuff, it is less bronze than it looks in the pics...looks a bit like gold leaf or something IRL:

Is the gold slightly raised? So it feels 3D or however it's described.

Nah, gold is not raised, just looks identical to a normal Jaguar decal.

Okay, so I had an accident and ruined the decal  they are so thin it's unreal, I've applied decals before with no trouble but this one was just too delicate to handle  jeeeez.

Did it tear as you slid it across?

It tore as I was sliding it into position, the edges all rolled over as I tried to transfer it too :? Oh well....
