new classic vibe colours?

Post by DanHeron »

I thought the Squier Classic Vibe 60's P-Bass comes in sonic blue.. and that's it. That's all they show on the squier site.

HOWEVER... browsing ebay and found this, "new for 2010", 60s Classic Vibe P-Bass in Fiesta Red?!

Has anyone else seen this? New about it? Reckon some new colours are coming?

That does look good. I painted my Cyclone shell pink a few months ago.

new colors for the duo-sonic would be nice. but I dunno, the red/white/blue weren't really colors used on this style of duo-sonic. I think they should do some in the shaded sunburst:

on the other hand, the CV duo isn't really a faithful reissue anyway so they should just do a sprakel finish or something.

Aye. To me, somehow, any other colours other than Blue, White and Red would be sort of wrong.

Anyone catch wind of the thing since the above? Such un-Squiresque colors like Fiesta makes me eager to point my billfold in that direction for an affordable P-bass purchase.

I'd love to be thumpin' some maguro flesh a go go.

Timely thread. I'm considering getting a Classic Vibe bass. How does it play? Is is a good choice for an economy priced guitar?

I love that Fiesta red p-bass with the lame tort.

Are the p-bass classic vibes any good?

The classic vibe basses have the same reputation as the guitars.

I'm pretty sure that bass breaks $400 dollars though. I've heard about a few people ordering them and what not. I've also heard rumors that it is a Europe model, but nothing like that has been confirmed.

i've got the blue P bass and i really like it in terms of playability. feels like a much more expensive instrument. the pickup's a little lacking in clarity perhaps, but that's only to be expected.

I saw these about a week ago. The fiesta red is pretty new, I think they just rolled it out. I'm definitely ready to see more than one color option on the other CV's too! I really want one of these fiesta p bases and one of the LPB 50's p basses too! I really need to sell a lot more shit before I buy more shit though.

That fiesta red p bass is sweet, but Squier shouldn't bother with tort guards unless they take the time to use something that actually looks decent instead of some crap that looks like it was printed on an inkjet.

I hope the CV Jazz bass comes out in another colour, too. I love white but I have two white instruments already (well ok, one is cream). I would also jizz if the Vinatge Modified Jazz bass with the B&B maple neck came out in sunburst.

On a trip to GC to sample some basses, I saw this guy:

I really like the color in person, but yeah, I would definitely do away with the tort in favor of a single-ply white or a cream-black-cream.
