Any good treble boosters out there at a decent price? Looking to get one for my newly purchased AC-30 CC1. I know quite a few people on harmony central said the Analogman Beano is a good choice or a Dallas Rangemaster Clone. Let me know if anyone has had any experience with one.
Thanks

make your own. there are like 6-7 parts in there

if you can solder and have some components you can save yourself a few quid

I think EHX just put one out as well as a bass booster?

I personally see an EQ pedal as a much better investment since it's not a one trick pony like a treble booster is.

I'd say an EQ pedal is a good investment even if you aren't looking for a treble booster. If your amp has an effects loop an eq pedal can open up a world of versatility

Yep, it has the effects loop built in. Any suggestions on a good EQ? Haven't researched them much.

a buddy of mine has one lying around. I'm sure he'd just throw it my way. How noisy is it?

But but but: treble boosters don't boost the treble like an EQ pedal does; they make your guitar sound all sweaty and ZZ Top-y. I made one (they're
that easy) and I
love it.

So it adds some clipping alsooooooo?

I don't know. It adds nice noises.

i dunno about this. i think hammering the input of the amp with 30db more volume makes the amp clip, but the pedal alone doesn't - if that makes any sense

Poifect sense.

... perfect sense that I'd disagree with. The Rangemaster definitely clips a bit. It's not just booting the amp.
(See, I do know what clipping is really)

EQ pedal is definitely a better idea. The MXR 6 band is awesome and can boost your volume.

Booooring. Make a little Rangemaster clone and get yer grit on.

A Rangemaster does add some clipping artifacts of it's own to the sound. It's also more of a upper midrange booster than a Treble Booster I would argue.

Upper midrange is what I would want. Thanks for shedding some light.
