Still got the Spring King?
Would you recommend it?
Of course I looked it up on Harmony Central, but I don't trust them there, since it's always 50-50 with everything.
The demo sounds almost too good to be true.

i got a spring king
its fucking cool
its noisy if i dont use a really good quality psu tho
i use it for recording mostly its to big for using live tho
pick one up if its really cheap tho!

depends on what you want. If you compare it to any high standard reverb unit, it's not so good. kind of squealy (?), boxy and a little noisy. I tried one in my surf band and it sucked for that purpose. If that sound is what you're after, better get the Boss FRV-1. nicest affordable spring reverb emulation out there. Or just use a Fender Silverface amp of some kind, if you want / can.
But if you're getting a good deal on a used spring king, and don't expect it to be top notch, then go for it. it's about as good as the analog reverb units in many of today's budget amps (Blues Junior, the small voxes etc)
