Bridge for Superstrat?
I posted a thread a while ago about this Superstrat I got for free, but no-one replied to that which is fair enough really. Anyway, I decided to restring it, but the Floyd Rose thing (which I HAET anyway) was all confusing and I basically ended up taking the bridge apart. I've taken all that Floyd Rose nonsense off the guitar because I can't be doing with it, so... what bridge to put on in place of it? Ideally I'd just put a Strat-style bridge, or even a Tele-style seen as I don't use a tremolo much. Unfortunately the big gaping hole left by the Floyd Rose makes that rather difficult, so is there any option of something I can put in place of that? I don't really like the idea of having to fill in this hole. I'll post pics if that'll help...
Learn to set up the floyd rose, then decide if you like it or not. They may look awful, but seriously, when they're set up and going properly they are the most fun thing.
Post pics and we'll talk you through it.
It's roughly the same principle as a strat bridge, just that the strings are held in place with clamps instead of ball ends.

I don't blame you for taking it apart. I would probably would too. ...maybe it would look cool if you spray painted the body black or white.
but uh, in all honesty it's probably easier just keeping the floyd than trying to replace it. due to the large gaping whole that is.
cogito ergo sum...thing or other...
