What do people have against the new memory man?

I was going to pick one up, but I heard that the older ones are better...What are the problems of the new one?

aen has a memory man with hazzori or however you spell it, and it sounds AWSOME!
i have been thinking about selling my old memmory man delx just to get one.
i will say that the vintage mmdlx i had sounded better than the version i have now. im not sure how old it is but its probly about 10 years or so, maybe more.

The newer XO Deluxe Memory Man's have four MN3008 chips in them as oppsed to the classic two MN3005 chips. They are also easier to calibrate (2 less chips to calibrate) and that may lead to them sounding better as there are less places to mess up calibration.

the stereo memory man with hazari has almost NOTHING to do with the deluxe memory man besides the name.
they cant be compared because they are practically different pedals.
now, regarding the comparison of the XO compared to the old DMM I havent actually heard the XO besides demos,
but people say that the old version is more lush and more organic whatever that could mean when talking about sound.
i tend to believe that this is true since the circuit is not 100% the same.

aside from the chips, it i think its the same as the most recent Classic DMM.

the guy from EHX that I forget his name wrote on the EHX forum that some components had to be changed to achieve ROHS compliance, so that together with the chips thing makes a small but maybe audible difference

There is something about the big box ones. Every time I get close to selling mine I plug it in and play it for a while and then think I'm a fool for thinking about it.

I paid Â£130 for it new and I could get more for it now I think, but I think I would regret it, it's a lovely pedal.
