A tune...finally figured the uploader out.

Post by Chicago Mike »

Found this today while unpacking from my move to Oklahoma (from Chicago). Buddy and I got lit up and tried our best to write a farewell song...track 4 was lyrics, which I had to cut out but anyway thought I'd throw this up.

Criticism welcomed....lord knows I need it.

Harps & guitars, this is great.

Is it two guitar tracks, a harmonica track and then the would be vocals? I really like the break from the power chords into those lead licks. The two count one. keep 'em coming.

Here's the link, but the other one above works fine when I try it.

Track 1: Power Chords
Track 2: Licks
Track 3: Harp
Track 4: nothing

After listening to it again, seems a little repetitive and not really going anywhere. We're no Muddy Waters and Little Walter, but it was fun.

with some drums and vocals it would remind me of 'two cow garage'

I like it.

loads of old punks I know love all that stuff..... they call it 'country tinged punk' or 'punk tinged country' over here, but I think that's more of a description than a genre name. (I mean 'old punks' in the sense that they are 30-40 and don't look like punks, but still are if you know what I mean)

I just checked out the Two Cow Garage stuff...I dig it a lot.

Going to check out the Suburban Home Records out tonight too, this is stuff I've really found myself trying to achieve lately.

Wish I could throw some drums or something on it so i's not so bare.

suburban home records is a label, two cow garage is on them, a lot of their bands are old punk dudes that now write rebel country.. or whatever the fuck you want to call it.

Some good stuff on that label. Thanks for the point in the direction, it's refreshing.
