those pics are color pics turned into black and white ? i like the gibson 'take' on atigua though with the black and grey
but still prefer sg's to have this color :
the ones they made once with the moon inlays, i almost gave into my humbucker lust and responded to a secondhand add for one, but it had no moon inlays

I'd rock it if Maynard James Keenan was in my band.

boo to the les paul
not really some of my fav guitarists use it, i started on an epi les paul
so in feel, i like the neck on les pauls yeah.
but sg have much more bite, even with humbuckers not p90's they have more bite than most les pauls. i just can't get on with the thinness of the body.
it's usually like that for me with gibson guitars, usually love the sound, love the neck....hate the body.

I much prefer silverburst when it's done in the tearburst style the old ones were done in.

Epiphone silverburst usually looks godawful.
Also studio lp's are not worth $1400. Most decent smaller shops sell them for around $1200 (which is what they were until 2009)
I'm trying to sell my classic white/chrome gibson studio now and the 2nd hand market has these things priced around $700-$900 tops.

WRONG
and once i get around to the body work i'll have this

It will be a brighter silver but i'll use a nitro laquer so it will yellow over time

I'd like 'em if Adam Jones hadn't used 'em.
Any les paul with an edgeburst instead of tearburst invariably looks wrong.

If you're gonna buy a silver burst, I'd get a copy off tradetang and pimp it with new pickups, wiring, potentiometers and a bone nut. It would beat paying the exacerbated Gibson price tag.

How much does an original silverburst go for these days? $2.5k?
