Just got a Rocktron Sonic Glory overdrive

Post by Peter Bond »

Got it for £20.00 second hand and although I've only had about 10 minutes on it I'm pretty pleased with it.

Its like a nice warm low gain overdrive, it was a toss up between that or trying to find a danelectro Transparent OD second hand but I thought for twenty quid I might aswell. If nothing else it means I dont have to crank my amp up in my house to get a bit of crunch.

Has anyone else had any experience with the brand? I hadnt heard of them until I spotted this one and had a look on their website.

rocktron is a solid brand--- but i have never heard this pedal
I would have given up already if it wasn't for the impending revolution!

Iv got a rocktron compressor
I think it was the first pedal I bought when I was 12 or something
It's in a boss style enclosure, I broke the battery cover top bit
I think it was due to abuse rather than general wear and tear.
I still use it when I record clean stuff sometimes.
Really good value though

A guy I know uses the Metal Planet and it seems like a pretty decent pedal. I've played the Sonic Glory and it's a good sounding pedal. It's basically a Tube Screamer so all the TS mods apply to it if you wanted to do some tweaking.
