My band have a giggy-wig-wig...

Post by ohyeahfuzzbear »

Yeah. Blood Visions are playing in birmingham at the rainbow on the 14th of april. We are on super early (well doors are at 4:30 and we are first on... so yeah). The problem is we are not from birmingham therefore audience attendance for us is predicted (even by the promoters) to be super low. While this is hilarious it has the makings to be extremely depressing... so yeah.

If you are in the birmingham area on the 14th of april. Head down to the rainbow to watch 4 kids to be twats onstage for twenty minutes or so. I think it's like £4 on the door (?) and there are some actual good bands playing so you will get your moneys worth...

May I recommend....

who are amazing and their lead singer jas very kindly agreed to drum for us...

P.S. MESSAGE ME FOR MORE DETAILS..

how'd you get the gig in birmingham, if you don't mind me asking? we're possibly looking for a gig there.

It was by mistake really... our myspace page used to just say that we were from 'MIDLANDS' and our top friends mainly consisted of our friends bands who were (coincidently based in birmingham... so we got contacted by these promoters called 'We Love Brum' and they asked us to play a show... We accepted before we could explain we weren't from birmingham...

Here's the link to we love brum if you wanna contact them...

and

they seem pretty friendly...

don't worry if the audience is minimal. i've seen bands like aids wolf play so far from hpme (canada) here in belgium and there was maybe an audience of 20 people...or less, and they still went nuts.

take some friends/groupies with you ? i'm sure they would pay for tickets and give them some of your drink tickets lol
we always did that if we were playing further from home, in holland we had the luck of playing together with another belgian band they took some friends/groupies and so did we, we weren't known but the other belgian band was so they got enough dutch people coming over to see us too.

We are used to small audiences to be honest. When I was in my old band we played to four people once and they left before the end... it was hilarious

i know it's not the right attitude but i can't deny that when you're playing for five people at after 5 mins of your set there's ten people it IS nice, seeing people leave during your set it upset me a bit, then when they came back with beer i felt like 'ok', i guess the audience and number does matter, it's always more fun to play for a crowded bar than a few people, can't deny that.

Oh yeah of course. I mean teh best crowd we ever had was actually at a free festival in Northampton called umbrella fair.. when we started playing there was like 10 kids and by the end there were about 40 people, it was just nice to see people actually giving a shit.
