Bugera V22 Demo

Post by Reece »

Yep. Pretty much the same as Mike's V55HD but Noirie asked me to do a demo of this and here we are.

HQ version should be processed soon so wait a little bit, the audio in the LQ version is all squishy.
There we go, HQ is up.

Nice candid demo, Reece(You're a better man than I to do as such!). I actually liked that digital spring action all wet and stuff on the clean tones.

And before I foregt to mention it, Noirie's Fear of a Tube Amp would make a great noise-pop band name.

Very nice indeed. Your Crunch channel seems to sound a lot nicer than my dirt channel also.

The Cleans are great though, aren't they?

The cleans are the special bit yeah.

Fortunately it handles pedals spectacularly so I don't really steer near the gain channel.

It depresses me that I could have got one of these for about the same price as my marshall AVT 150...

I'm starting to wish I didn't buy a Blackstar HT-5 months before these were released. Such a nice clean sound.

Nice demo. I want on of these, has a bedroom amp, but i don't think it's cheap enough if i'm only using it at home.

Does the v5 have enough headroom to play clean at home? I have this idea that 5w amps are only to play dirty, but i might be wrong

Nice demo, and my question is more or less the same as sp3k's... can you play the V22 at bedroom level without it getting that muffled dampened sound that tube amps get at low volumes?

Sounded pretty good at the lower volumes i played at the shop. The cleans sounded best around noon on the volume with the master full. THAT is certainly too loud for bedroom playing in my opinion. Great demonstration of the amp, Reece. The cleans sound really nice with a jag, and the crunch is great. Just like i remember hearing!

I think it has plenty of headroom on the 5 watt setting. I usually have the gain at 2 or 3 to make it loud enough. The Headphone jack is a truly nice feature for a tube amp.

Anyone know of any stores in the London area that sell Bugera amps? I'm keen to go and try one out.
