Brand new Venus at local shop

It's been there since release many moons ago. Been marked at $399 since release. Has finally gone on clearance for $299... which is getting more tempting. If it was the Blue one I'd offer $250 and be done with it, but this one is the black. Can't really see paying more than $200 for it, though I have lusted after it for years now.
And I'm apparently the only person in Baltimore with any interest in it, lol.

I'm pretending never to have read this post. Ever. To bring an in-joke of Fran and mine's into the public arena, sometimes you open a thread and it's like:

One thing I know about Baltimore, you are never the only person into anything here. I have played shows with some really random gear and been asked many an odd question about my stuff or just had weirdos want to play my guitars. Not gonna happen, but hey at least they were nice about it.
I have seen the guitar you're talking about, although I would never play one, it does look nice. I considered buying it for my gf but got her a mexi 90's duo sonic instead.

I think $299 is a fair price. $200 would start getting into a good deal territory.

If you want it for cheaper I'd flash some cash, cash be attractive.

especially considering it's been hanging on the wall for yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrsssssssss...

They also have an m-80, which I considered as to have a backup if mine ever broke... only to find out the wanted $499 for it. Still priced the same as it was at release.

so they are going with the mentality that no cash is better than some cash style of management

I dunno. I think once they tag something... in their mind thats how much it costs. You'd think once it's been up there for 6 years or more that they'd lower the price to make some wall space.

Could also be in the mindset of "we paid $280* for this, we don't want to take a loss just to move it." I've worked in a couple stores where products weren't reduced in price for years because to sell it at the reduced price they were literally giving the item AND cash away.

*price pulled out of thin air as an example

As ugly as it is, its a vista. Well worth over 200 bucks, but still try to aim low.

Did this thing ever sell? If it's still available, I'll but the sumbitch today. I've always fancied the black version.

just when I had spare cash, it's gone.

It waited like 6 years for me, and then bailed in the last week.

Bitch.
