My new band, Golden Gurls has a ton of new songs. I have been on a bit of a tear lately with the old logic, these represent the first of my actual mixes and bounces on Logic but are not indicative of what the final product will be per se. Anyhow : "Kid Tested, Mother Approved" "Cars on Mars" "Uphill Fight" "Pop Rocks Plus Soda = Death" and "Muddy Werewolf Part 2" are the first movement I have made away from recording on a junkie old fostex digital 8 track on my own.

Just had a listen to goldengurls and whilst the vocals don't really do it for me (I generally want vox with a bit more melody and dynamics) I do like the music and some of the guitar work is great. Favourite was probably "pop rocks plus soda = DEATH". Reminds me of Sunny Day Real Estate in places.

thanks man :D the guitars on that pop rocks plus soda = death are done with my mij jag through a 66 tremolux and a 1x15 cab recorded with an sm57 (single) into a motu board into Logic 7.

I haven't had the chance to treat anything yet but it will add a lot more dynamics to the vocals and such as they are not eq'd yet, just flat. All of it is flat at this point. I am really really new to the Logic program and digital recording as a whoel when it comes to computer interfaces, it's quite a lot to pick up on. I generally use a digi 8 track and upload the wavz into garageband.
