In my quest to find bridge parts for my project Bronco I ran across this 1978 Musicmaster at a good price. The body has some extra routing under the pickguard and has been painted Fiesta Red. Pickguard is a replacement and I added the Bronco knobs. Pickup and pots are all original. Plays good but needs a setup. The pickup sounds great and the neck feels nice. I've got a line on a unmolested 78 body I hope to get in the next week or so. If I'm able to get it I'll be listing this body in the classifieds.

sweet finish on this one. it's not original, or is it? too nice for a late 70s Fender ...

i'm usually not a fan of red and white guitars but there is something about that musicmaster that just gets me.

That's a great looking Musicmaster! I like the Bronco knobs on there. They really give it an aggressive 70s look.

perhaps it's the fact that it looks orange?

Thanks guys, the body looks a bit more red in person. I was told that it was originally white with a black pickguard.

i wasn't trying to be a dick, but merely insinuating the prime factor that lead me to like it as well.

i hate red and white guitars. oly white jags and aged oly white strats are about all i can stand.

Well, here's how she looks now. All dressed in black. I absolutely love this guitar now. It plays great, sounds great and is my new number one guitar. I hope my 1975 Musicmaster project turns out as nice as this one.

I won't be happy until I have one of each of the Fender student models.
