The moment I saw the thread title and then the author I knew it was going to be about Burns.

Then I saw the picture. I like it. Played a bunch of Burns guitars at summer NAMM last year. They're excellent, so I imagine this one is no different.

Well most Burns guitars have some sort of extra switch, usually a push/pull tone pot that can activate further pickup combinations. The second switch is probably just such a switch, probably two-way, allowing you the regular strat positions and also all three pickups on at once as well as the bridge and neck pickups allowing a telecaster style selection.

I love it, i want a Burns but would feel deceived because they are no longer made in the UK. Should have bought that Hayman when i had the chance and money :x

Shit that's cool....redburst reminds me too much of cheap 60s/70s student models though.

I'd like one in black with chrome hardware.....semi hollow would help too

This thread is proof that 70% of shortscalers have a taste malfunction.

I've always fancied a Burns Cobra as an alternative to getting a Strat, but I've never seen one in stores to try out....

Most of the Club Series are made in Korea and the two Player Series guitars (the strat-copy Cobra and the tele-style Nu-Sonic) are made in China.

The Club Series are brilliant. I've had two of them now, and the quality appears to be getting better and better. The Player Series are fairly nice, but not quite on the same level as Squier. In terms of build quality, you really get what you pay for. However, it's the pickups that really shine with the Player Series, considering you're paying between £150-£200 for a guitar equipped with almost £120-worth of pickups. My Nu-Sonic has two Tri-Sonics and the same Burns humbucker found on the Steer (£450).

I'm actually wondering if I fall in the 30% or the 70%....since I think the shape and bridge is bonar but the color isn't my style and I want it to be a thinline.
