Furch guitars - sold as Stonebridge in the UK.

They look pretty sweet but I was just seeing if you guys have heard anything about them.

I've been looking at this:

spec:

It looks tasty and I will be able to get it soon, but before I make a trip to one of the very few dealers that sell them, I wanted to know if any of you had any experience with them.

Cheers
Gabe

wow, I like it. Quite expensive but the specs seem to justify the price.

I like the black pickup on the light wood. Really looks good.

I think it looks terrible, like linoleum or something. That's natural finishes in general though, specific ones seem to either really appeal or disgust pretty much arbitrarily.

it looks wank to me.

just my opinion....if it floats your boat and finds your lost remote then power to you. I bet it sounds and plays fantastic.

This is why i love the forums after all these years. Gotta lol, the blunt sincerity is only rivaled on a building site.

As for my opinion, it looks okay for that kind of thing. I bet it plays like a dream. Keep us up to date when you get it.

Just saw I could get a Peerless Monarch for around the same price. Does anyone have any experience with peerless guitars?

Progrockabuse.
I played his Peerless Casino model briefly and it was flawless, excellent quality.

Stonebridge guitars are really good, well made and sound very nice indeed - I have tried a couple of lefty acoustics.
In fact my Dad ordered one about 18 months ago, and it took 3 months from order to it getting to the UK (which was that they said so no delay or anything, but they didn't have any lefties in stock).
Unfortunately, the neck was snapped in transit (how these things happen escapes me), so he never got it and went for something else in the end.
I thought that they were better than equivalently priced Taylors and Martins.

haha, my first thought was that horrible laminate flooring everyone had circa 1998.

We had that stuff in our living room in first year. It ended up bubbled and purple because of the puddles of Buckfast.

Like how expensive are we talking here? It really is a relative thing, after all!

I can only find it on one UK site, listed for £849.

I found it on two sites one for £850 (rattle and drum) and another for £950 (richard's guitars).
