i remember seeing ads for a guitar like this in the early 90's, does anyone remember what it is?

yea i screen captioned it from that, i remember the silverchair video as well.
i think it balances closely on the ugly/cool boundary for me, shame the aluminum ones are so pricey

I remember those. They were solely colloquially known as the "roswell rhodes" and everyone thought they were cool as fuck when they came out. Every guitar shop had ONE hung so high up on the wall you could just barely tell what it was.

I remember when it first came out. I thought the crop circle fret markers were the coolest.
