Go to buffalobrosguitars.com You can usually find a couple older ones for less than that...
I love that color, but for some reason, not with the black pups.
Buffalo Brothers has a black sc2 for 650.

It would look better with a pickguard.

What did you expect it to sound like in the hands of a drummer? Did you ever hear it being played by someone with musical ability?

normally i'd agree.. but my drummer is a classically trained guitarist who just got a degree in music..
we put him on drums because he is rudimentary, and doesn't make us look bad.

Proof of Darwin’s theory of evolution a drummer with a degree in music; people it white coats should be studying this beast...

I played it and didn't like it. As a side note I don't think I'd ever say a guitar was bad because someone else sounded bad on it, otherwise all my favorite guitars would suck too!
Also looking at pics of vintage ones I'm pretty sure it was an SC2 (phase 2 with the more stratty body), not the 3-pickup model. It was all-black with those big pickups.
I did restrings and set-ups on it for his stepdad (owner) and used it a bunch of times when I was hanging out at his house and we decided to play (me having not brought my own stuff). It was just kinda boring compared to a strat, jag-stang and jaguar. Like a 2-pickup strat but didn't play as nice. I'm not saying they're all like that or these new ones suck, or that they're ugly (they look awesome) I just didn't like it. And I'm pretty sure it had a glossy neck and all my fendery preferences in order.
It looked exactly like this.

Non offset mustang? I'd be all over this if it had a mustang style guard and trem.

I would love to get one of those, specially in the Himalayan Blue, I always wanted to get one of those, maybe some day.

Now they just need to make the SC-1 available again, and sell it for less than $500.
