Is it safe to sit these amps on their side in order to save space?

It's my old line 6 spider III i want to do this with in order to make room for an orange 2x12 cab with a tiny terror head.

I'd just rather it didnt collapse, or snap, or end up with a split in the wood or something as its now the amp i use for my acoustic.

Thanks.

solid state amps should be fine, i'm guessing tube amps would even be fine, i've seen them standing upright on stage a lot to save space

If anything, I'd imagine having the heavy chassis part of the combo touch the ground directly would put even less strain on the cabinet than usual.

I think it’ll be fine so long as you’re not stacking anything on top of it.

I’d probably put some rubber feet on the side too, to prevent it shaking itself apart against a hard floor.

It’s probably a bad idea if it’s a valve amp with vents on the top.

Cheers, i just whipped the feet off the bottom of the amp and put them on the side.
