With Squier's Simon Neil stratocaster.

It arrived today, and I must say it is much nicer than the current Mexican standard strats.

The neck is very nice; when I played a mexi strat, it seemed far too wide and flat for my liking.
Pickups are spot on, the blend of V and III alnicos makes it sound unique, but very meaty.

Only one thing I'm not liking about it, the signature on the back has been applied as a mirror image of the actual one!? Not sure if this is the same on them all though.
Here's a couple of piccies:

with my hot rod deville :)

And the backwards 'Si'!?

That's just how Simon signs his name. Sweet guitar, I'm eyeing up the BC Jazz bass, I have too many strats and red just aint my colour.

Mint green, looks nice :) No camera seems to be able to pick it up the same as in person though.
The aged plastics go really nice with it too.
The fiesta red is edging on pink, haven't seen a strat this colour before, it's very pleasant haha.

Mon the biff!

Pickups are quite odd, never heard any like them really, apart from biffy stuff :P

I really like the middle position, sounds super-nice clean. Im yet to play it through all my effects as they're in the band's practice room, and so I am reserving my judgement on them until they hit the Blackstar distortion!
