I have found a jaguar (my first) at a good price the only thing is it's bridge as been replaced with a tunomatic bridge and a buzz stop already is this irreversible? Will this effect the whammy bar? Or the actual set up of the guitar with the neck?
Thank's

All sound like improvements to me
Both of those parts should come right off, use your brain dude.

I'd take the buzz stop off and leave the tune-o-matic.
Well, actually I'd sell it and buy a Mustang...

Leo Fender's main idea with the stratocaster, telecaster, and other models to come was that you could take things apart with ease so they are easier to repair or replace. Good man, he was.

Why not sell it to me. Been looking for something like that anyway.Think a Jag be just right. A Mustang's too cool for me.

Yes its reversible.
If the previous owner used high gain the buzzstop is quite important, TOM or no TOM. It kills harmonics which become very audible unlike CP's that shortened the string length by moving the tremolo system toward the bridge.
What's the price dude? If it was a Surf Green CIJ the mods are irrelevant- people want them anyway but Sunburst is very common.

my JM had a buzz stop on it when I bought it. best thing i did was to remove it... as for a tuneamatic... how does the non radius nature of the TOM affect the radius nature of the jag fretboard? i would buy the guiitar sell both parts and buy a mustang bridge

It's a sunburst one, I have no idea what buzzstop to be honest with you.
For £400 I have got:
.The Jag
.Hard Case
.Original pick ups (not fitted)
.Seymour Duncan SJAG-3n and SJAG3-b fitted

Definitely. Sounds a good deal to me.. a hard case, 2x SJag Duncans and a Jaguar for £400 is a no brainer. Providing they did a good job fitting the TOM of course. A
new CIJ Jaguar is over £500 (with no hard case) and you would end up swapping the bridge pickup at minimum also spend hours getting the bridge right. The buzzstop will probably get you £15 - £20 back on ebay too.
I'd go for it.

The traditional shortscale welcome for an entirely legitimate question. How nice.
Anyhow, if you did decide to dump the tune-a-matic, I've got a Mustang bridge you could have for a few quid. Ditch the buzzstop though - buzzKILL I call them LOLOLOL.

You lucked out if it comes with a case. A real case for a Jaguar will run at least $150. So it sounds like a good deal to me.

Still good, a decent hard case is usually around £50. But if it were a Jaguar case you'd have to give it me for £10, you dont want one of those, they are overated
