The Frontier Psychiatrists' New EP
I just finished mixing it tonight, so please let me know what you think. This is the second or third mix of most of the songs, because other band members have pointed out little tweaks and stuff for me to do. If you can think of anything to change, please let me know. 3 of the songs were recorded in January and the other 5 were recorded just a couple of weeks ago. We're sorting out a front cover soon and our film-maker friend is gonna help us do a music video for The One-Way System In Halifax Is Very Efficient.

I don't think you can from Soundcloud... I'm off to bed in a minute so I can't do it now, but I'll try and remember to upload a .zip or .rar of the songs at some point for everyone here.

As you know Freddy, I love this shit. I'd say maybe you could EQ the kick a little to make it a little more cutting (more highs and lows) and less sorta thumpy-jazzy. Maybe a small slice of reverb on the drums too?
I'd jump at the chance to mix one of these tunes, just in case you fancy hearing the result?

Thanks for the advice, Doog. I tried adding more lows to the kick drum when I first started mixing the songs, but I found it made it cut through almost too much? I dunno, I might give it another go.
Is there a particular one you'd like a go at mixing? I still have all the multitrack files.

I'll sort you out with a .zip, probably at the same time as I sort out a .zip of mp3s of all the songs.
EDIT: Also, thank you Stewart. You are a nice young man.

You boys seem to have the ability to move from fun good time tunes to more angular stuff which I personally love. And good track naming too. I particularly dig One way system...., ten minutes ago and Racoon.
Would buy.
ps. send this into Gideon Coe on radio 6 or someone similar. I can absolutely see it being played and enjoyed by plenty.
