As a collectors item? Maybe a fair bit of that price, but half of it would seem more realistic.

As a guitar? About a tenth of that would seem more realistic.

that's so cool. and it's 23 frets, that's kinda cool. if you bend up at the last fret it's a full two octaves.

By the looks of it (and of course if it wasn't so valuable), in theory you could probably screw a metal plate to sick up slightly into the back of the neck so you could get a full two octaves out of it.

My ovation is also 23 frets. Bending that high is pretty insane, not sure why you'd ever have to go that high

I just think it is interesting because that is the only Teisco J-2 I have seen a photo of. The Teisco Twangers Timeline page(Link) says that the J-2 was made in 1954,the same year as the equally rare models J-1,TG-54 and TN-54
