Options for converting a 12-string Acoustic to Lefty?

Painting? Routing? Set-up tips? Or just straight-up making a guitar from scratch? Post here, and post pics!

Options for converting a 12-string Acoustic to Lefty?

Post by Boab »

I've got a Right-handed 12-string Guild G212NT (search it in Google Images if you feel like, but I couldn't get a good link to use) but I play Lefty. How would you folks recommend I go about setting it up so I can play it effectively, have it stay in tune and intonate properly.

I've heard murmurs of a 'Saddleboy' conversion kit by doing a few Google searches, but I can't really find much out about it; or whether it would work for a 12-string. I'm very interested in this kit, since I really don't wanna have to spend too much to get this done.

I'm not bothered about the bracing inside the guitar, just the nut and the saddle.

Cheers.
