I really wanted to get The Yui Hirasawa signature Les Paul (Link) because it matches my decor
But then I went to my friends store today and this had just arrived. It's a 1998 Les Pauls Standard with gold hardware(factory)
and a 1-piece back. It is mint and has all the case candy too!
Sorry Yui...

Ah I like the unpretentious top. Nifty.

I like the nice splotch on the forearm part of the top. Beautiful finish flaw, and makes it easy to spot if it were ever stolen.

Great, now I like this stuff
Well I do have to admit as far as cartoons and comics go, its probably the most accurate looking guitars I've seen

Well,Bandai just signed a deal to produce an english language version of K-ON so maybe we will be seeing Yui's guitar and Mio's bass in our local Target stores before to long.

what's between bridge pup and the bridge on that jazz?

A strip of metal for grounding purposes. Quite a lot of actual Fenders have them, and I guess originally it was covered by the bridge cover so didn't matter. My Squier bass has it.

So apparently there is a whole youtube phenomenon of middle aged Japanese men dressing up as these anime characters and then playing along. Hilarious.

has got to be a joke right? I think ive spent enough time in japan to know that this is definitely not the norm.

Nope not a joke.
Look on youtube, tons of Japanese guys dressing up and playing... many french maid outfits, I have no idea why.
I dunno why you'd be so shocked. Japan is the country after all that sells used panties in vending machines, and gave the world tentacle rape porn

I like the vending machines in Japan with cans of hot coffee with brand names like "Georgia". Once, the coffee company
had a contest that you could win prizes by sending in your pop top.I sent one in one pop top and won this radio.
