Picked up a Sheraton in ebony yesterday, made in the Samick factory June 1994. Very nice & the gold hardware tuners aside has worn off thankfully, plays nice sounds great. Needs a set up new jack & possibly a nut to.

I want to put a trem on it which i guess means it will have to be a Bigsby, I know nothing about them. Should i get an expensive one or a licenced copy? Is it possible to fit one without having to drill the top of the body? Would i need a roller bridge?

Also where do i find a pick guard for it?

it is indeed. they make models like that. the B6 is one...

Aye, despite the fact that you can barely reach the tremolo bar to do teh kevshieldz and Swervedriverlolz while strumming with a B6 so far back like that, it will definitely feel "softer" and more spongy than a stuffy-n-stiff B7 or the oft-prescribed B12. At 9" in length, the B6 is the closest you can get to the bridge without a tension bar, and I'd bet it's the best fit.


Besides, even the factory B7 copies(being much shorter in length) are too short to be all that useful, as seen on this Casino.

yeah, they're kinda short. the other annoying thing is there's this little bump where the handle attaches that keeps the handle from swinging up so it's extremely difficult/impossible to strum while holding the arm.

cut bump? longer handle?

Srsly, I feel so spoiled sometimes with the trem bar on the Jazzmaster being so within reach and missing the neck pickup by just 1/2", it simply can't not be used while arrpegiating and messing about.

And while we're on the subject, look at the above Epiphones and glance at the below: it's almost obscene to notice the libido of the B16 and B5, who have their tremolos proudly standing erect and are totally ready for action.
