New Burns Guitar

It's called the Drifter.

I saw it as a tiny thumbnail with absolutely no other details at all about it on the net a couple of months ago. I still don't know what to think. It looks nice for what it is, but it's not very Burns-ish, and it's not really my style.

I think it's cute, not big on the natural quilted maple + gold combo though. It vaguely reminds me of the Paul Bigsby Merle Travis guitars.

Working in the department of guitar companies that picks new models has to be one of the easiest jobs ever. You either just make more of stuff that you made in the 60s, or you make stuff that other companies made in the 60s.

Burns did this because of Hank Marvin. There was already a shortscale post about this.
