I've got one of the crank types on my pedalboard, connects my PS-5 to my Micro POG. They're pretty handy, practically indestructible and save a lot of space. Obviously, the pedals' jack sockets dictate where one sits in relation to the other, so if you want your pedals right up against the lip of your pedalboard, they're not ideal.
However, for several pedals of the same brand (so with the same jack placement) the straight ones are perfect.
The ever-awesome Highly Strung do both for a few quid a piece, can possibly be had cheaper on the 'Bay:

The lead guitar player in my band has had a few, they now are all scattered around on the floor of our practice space. He says they're crap.

well worth a couple to save some room, i use a couple of Boss pedals and a Hardwire Delay so that'll work brilliant!
