I made a couple of trips to Guitar Center and saw some interesting stuff.
Wilshire - not impressed at all though I like the headstock and weight of the guitar
New Les Paul Special SC with 2 P-90s. Sounded average. Bridge pup didn't work.
Rare Gold Sparkle Ibanez Talman - Awesome guitars for the money and cool body shape. Usually come with buckers and rosewood board like this one. My college roommate bought a green one with 3 lipstick pups and maple fretboard that I will demo in the future.
Cool Epiphone by Gibson Acoustic - never seen an Epiphone headstock like this with Gibson's name the same size on the front
Silverface Fender Pro Reverb
Silverface Fender Champ Amp
Marshall Artist 4203
Fender Twin Reverb
Cheap Squier Tele with Bigsby
Silverburst Tele

Did that Bigsby Tele have a Mustang bridge or Jaguar bridge?

All the gear there looks great. Especially the Les Paul, but it clearly didn't play as well as it looked.

Awesome! That GC has got some neat stuff in it.
The bridge pup not working in the Special is weaksauce, though. I would have said something just so they don't leave it on the floor, like that altough maybe that's why they're only asking $379 for it... That and the shit rosewood.

I'd say something to get a big fat discount and then take it home and re-solder that bitch. only half the pickups work, I DEMAND 50% OFF!

I took it over to the guitar person. I never leave a bad guitar without telling someone. I stinks when you get a lemon from the factory like that.

If i was actually going to purchase, I would totally bring that up.

Look at that rosewood, though... It looks better on the $200 Epiphone!

not sure on that. Looks like Jaguar bridge but I think it can be changed out. I will pay more attention next time I go.

The guitar center in raleigh has broken shit all the time. Especially in the bass room. Nothing in the fucking bass room works. All the basses are out of tune because the employees don't take care of anything back there, half the amps don't work, and every bass I would want to play has a wiring problem.

That was the first time I have ever seen Silverface Fenders at guitar center. They rarely carry short scales besides the Jagmaster or Jaguar HH, though you will see some CP stuff some times.

Cool stuff; however, they're clearly out of their fucking minds trying to kick that SF Champ for $549.

The reason you never see this stuff at Guitar Center is they pay you very little and try to resell it for too much. I scored an AVRI Jag on their used website last year for $700 because some one miss-marked it. That almost never happens. They usually want an almost new price for their used gear. Sometimes you will find bargains if you keep your eyes open.

My ex-roommate's guitar is deep green but you can still see the wood grain and a pearl pickguard. The maple fretboards are even rarer. I like them, but the neck contour is really thin near the nut. Not my favorite feel.
