Do you think this will make a nice Jag?

This body

as stated in the description the pick guard has been hacked up but sticking a decent neck on the would probably make a nice guitar. Can anyone tell what it is by looking (i've got a question in to the lister)? Looks like it could be a jagmaster to me, but the ad doesn't mention any routing which surely would be necessary for that pickup config?

That's a jagmaster, and not the good kind

that doesn't even look like a jagmaster. where's the output jack? and what is up with that hideous guard?

Absolutely not worth it. It's a cheap knock-off, most likely a Stagg.

Not worth the £70 + £X for a neck then?

Good point those tend to be useful on electric guitars..somebody made a mess of that guard for sure, but I don't think that three pickups generally results in good mojo, so it would probably go back to two with a new guard anyway.

Definitely not a Jagmaster.

It's one of those cheaper companies that use the same guitar under different names. xaviere / agile / worship etc. Not entirely sure how truly connected these companies are but just names I've pulled from my head. They all produce jazz/jag-alike copies

Looks to me that could well be a Worship Prodigy. I've played one and was very impressed, one of the nicest things about it was the neck itself.
See demo here of one of the three variants they make.

I wouldn't go paying that much for it, as they're not that expensive in the first place. £180 ish if I remember right.

EDIT: Stagg it might be as suggested. Have a look at Worship...

It's £80 + neck when you take into account shipping. Also consider that the neck might not be a standard Fender fit even if it is 25.5" scale.

The complete guitar is worth more like £60 but they aren't worth bothering with at all. Don't be lured by the vaguely Jaguar body shape.

I'm in Sheffield so may have been able to save the postage. But even so I'm probably better holding onto my money, unless it turns out the pickups are amazing or something.

Totally a Stagg copy.

Not worth it. Not even close.
