A couple of projects I kept secret

These guitars I bought for cheap and modded them a bit.
Sorry about the shitty phone pics!

The black strat was a 'vintage' branded guitar, i cut a new pickguard threw in some cheap hotrail style pickups.
Sprayed the body in hellfrauds black, sprayed the neck with gloss nitro with black headstock.
Incidentally, this guitar is tuned permanently drop D. I angled the bridge pickup backwards, because I find that most guitars come over a bit too bassy tuned drop D.
This sounds sweet!
The red strat is a Marlin Slammer. When I got it the fret ends were overhanging the fret board and pretty sharp.
I filed the ends down, leveled and dressed the frets.
Replaced the manky green seized saddles with some freebie items.
I thought the electrics were weird enough to take pics of...

Weird pots bar magnet pickups and a strange 5 way switch.
It's tuned C-C using 12s and had shitty machine heads so goes out of ne pretty quickly.
It also sounds surprisingly shrill too, but that might be a pickup/pot related issue...
