My Bronco Bass

Hi I am new to this site. Over the past summer I took my cheap Squier Bronco Bass (with a 30 inch short scale :)) and repainted it and changed the Strat single coil pick up with the neck humbucker from my friend's broken Epiphone Les Paul. It was originally a black body with white pick guard. I painted the body light metallic blue and the pick guard and headstock flash red (these were the names of the spray paint). It looks and sounds great.

Thanks man. It is pretty sweet, and I've gotten several compliments on it. I'd say buying one of these cheap for like $100 and putting another $100 in upgrades will sound better than the $300 Squier basses. I think I might put bigger tuning posts on it cause the string gets all coiled up on the E string tuning post.

Looks FRESH mate, especially that blue, very convincing ice blue metallic [fender colour]

Pretty interesting . In a good way . How's that 6 string humbucker work in a bass ?

IIRC the bronco bass just has a ceramic strat pickup under a robroe cover so i imagine about the same but hum-cancelling

Looks awesome dude! That color combo kinda reminds me of those flea basses. Sweet.

The humbucker makes it sound heavier. Kinda like the difference between a single coil Stratocaster and a humbucker Les Paul. But it still has that vintage sound which I love.
