Is that a ripoff?

It looks gorgeous, I am yet to go in-store and play it, but that is my favourite finish.

At the current exchange rate, that's around $1,498 USD. That's way too much in my opinion.

I'm not sure, but I suspect that's a refinish too. Normally they wouldn't use discolored wood / so blatantly mismatched multi-piece bodies with the translucent color Fenders. Even if it IS the original finish, that should be a ~$800 - $1,100 (USD) guitar - tops.

haze just posted this one for $900, and everyone said that was too much.

it's worth what someone will pay for it, and they're not really that easy to come by with rosewood with either sunburst or natural (unless it's a refin), from my experience. i looked for a sunburst with rosewood for a long time, and never found anything in my price range. while $1500 is too much for me, if you have the jack, and need your fix, it'd be a perfect fit. i'd definitely play it first.

that said, i wouldn't give $200 for one with a maple neck, but everyone else would.

Yeah I've seen 60s Mustangs for less money. I guess the advantage with that one is you could try it, instead of trusting someone on ebay.

Over-priced, especially for a 70's.
