I was reading Total guitar magazine in t’town today which has a interview with the great man, and apparently Fender are doing him a sig jag: spec- white /white, 4 way tele control switch (bridge/ both/ neck/ series) instead of the silly on off pickup switches, moving the high pass filter thingy to the top control plate.
Sounds good to me, as I’ve always thought there were too many switches for my tiny mind to handle. but no doubt it’ll cost stupid money...
I've always thought his Jag was the shiz, but this will cost stupid amounts of money. Cheaper to buy a Japanese/Mexican and do the mods yourself I would think.
PLEASE!!!... Tell Me About the Fuckin' Golf Shoes!
the best news out of this is that fender will more than likely now offer a tele switch that will fit in the jag spot. so no more searching for aftermarket mods. fingers crossed.

thanks sir. i just noticed that it was noticeably bigger. i thought Marr had a 3 way Gibson-style switch in his Jag.. guess i was wrong.
Is there any pictures in the mag? I wanted to buy the mag, but it would only be for this one article.
Before they announced the new johnny marr sig jag, i decided to make one just like it. I will probably still follow this through.
Is it very likely Fender will offer the parts? I have been looking everywhere for someone to make me the switch plate to no avail. I didnt realise the hi pass filter switch was moved to the top either.
There was a good article on Johnnys jag in guitarist mag earlier this year. Thats what made me like his mods and decided i would do the same.

No, i wated a cribs live video and it sounded really mushy and average......i do appreciate some of the stuff he wrote while in the smiths, but dont think he has really added much to the recent bands hes been a part of
