Are any of the Fender Tune-O-Matics any good?

Adjusto-Matics, I guess. I have a Classic Player Jag/Jazz tunomatic and it's terrible. Loose, cheap, buzzy, bleh. I see that the HH Jag and Baritone HH Jag have Gotoh bridges; how are they? The J. Mascis bridge looks like it uses different posts; anybody own an Mascis?

I was kinda wondering if there were any aftermarket bridges for my classic player HH...

I don't mind the tune-o-matic gotoh on my hh jag, I don't like that it has a modern radius and my jag has a vintage radius. I'll be taking a mustang bridge and take the posts off and drill holes so it will fit on the tom posts

Played a Jag HH at the store. Besides feeling a little "dead"(probably just the neck joint/pickups) I didn't find anything wrong with it. The bridge didn't buzz as far as I noticed.

the one on my GT HH (now blacktaxi's) was in fact quite nice. i'd considered replacing the one on my dot studio with one, but darn the availability of GFS roller bridges! (and the fact that it wouldn't fit. that was a show stopper.)
i've entertained making a 24.75" jaguar with a discarded MIK toronado project, and i would certainly leave the bridge.

Are the Adjustomatic bridges the same radius as a standard Tuneomatic? Or are they 9.5" like a modern Fender?

I don't know if it's like that on all models but the Adjustomatic on the CP Jazz is 9.5"...
It's ever given me any of the trouble you guys are talking about.
Not like it exceeds my expectations in any way...
Then again, I wouldn't know what it's like to have my mind blown by a bridge.

They 9.5" and they're pretty good, but not perfect - you will get some rattling/buzzing from the bridge, or at least I did a bit on my CP Jaguar when I really whacked it.
It's mainly only something you hear acoustically though, through an amp you're not going to be bothered.

If you can be arsed with this sort of thing there is always the Metric measurement Tonepros bridges which will fit, fo example, a Jp Jag HH (as i did). I assume that the Imperial measurement versions would fit US product. They are stable as you like and no cheap rattling and stuff.
