Check it out - found this on Offset.

Looks like a Jaguar/Jazzmaster bridge with just one grooveset and more of a Mustang saddle feel. I think this is a pretty cool addition, odd they didn't big this up.
I imagine it would be popular if available as an aftermarket piece.

Yeah, that would be a nice feature.

Shame the specs are a lot of shite on the Fender site:
It's clearly not an Adjustamatic a la the Classic Player.

Nor does it have a tremolo lock. Specs left over from when they were mocking it up I guess, cause that's what used to be in the picture.

I may have to pick one of these up. All the black one needs is tort and it'd be my ultimate jazzer.

Looks pretty spiffy, although you'd hope they would've addressed the "intonation screw buzz" problem if they were redesigning the bridge.

Set the saddle high with the bridge down and it'll catch, set the saddle low and bridge higher up and it just catches on the head of the screw. Ho hum.

+ the grub screws falling out when you're not looking.... I don't want to have to glue bridge together to get it to work thanks!

I'd still prefer a 7.25 radius tom bridge if there was one. this looks actually like a "light duty" version of that warmoth Mustang bridge. I had problems with that one. I don't care about rattling, but it screwed itself down while playing. It sucked to have the string lying flat on the fret while playing a concert. There are ways to get rid of it, but they are a bit rigid.

But still, if Fender made a single groove JM bridge it would be a part that would sell ... as long as they also do make their classic bridges, that is

It's funny because the Jaguar has a different bridge for the Jazzmaster. I like how the Jazzmaster Bridge is kinda of a hybrid between the Old Jaguar/JM Bridge and the Mustang Bridge. Some innovation from Fender? It seems like the Jazzmaster got lots of love and it's why it is standing out more.

i'm telling you guys, be sure to try one before you buy it.
i have played the Jazz multiple times and i STILL can't decide whether i like it.
something about it just feels...off.

It's a good idea however i've never had issue with the Mustang saddles I have in both my JM's. I had a Classic Player JM for a bit but didn't like the tune-o-matic, it makes the strings sit closer together and I like them further apart as it makes picking easier.

I think Allparts make replacement JM saddles like that but for some reason they're only available in Japan.

The bridge is awesome. It's like a JM/mustang bridge hybrid, and works very well. It was a tad buzzy with the stock strings on it, but with a set of 11's on it now it's nice and quiet, and extremely solid. I've played it hard all afternoon, and haven't had a string pop out yet - even with the 9's.

saw that post as well. All reviews so far have been shining, and the price is definitely right as well.
