I have a line on one of these amps. Anyone have experience with them? It is an all tube amp from the 60's that, I believe, needs to have power transformer added to it to make it safe. I think it may be similar to the Silvertone amp in case.

Opinions?

They really aren't very good. They're extremely quiet - barely conversation level. You get little shocks through the strings. They fart out on the low frequencies. And the overdrive isn't particularly nice.

The circuit is the same as the amp-in-case. It was a bare-bones AC/DC amp that Nate Daniels had learned to build as a radio amplifier when he was in the army.
