It's a now-discontinued flanger that used to go for the already large price of $369.00/ List price $459.00 when it was still in production.
It's way more flexible than any other flanger, but fuck that price tag. And the fact it's a flanger, obv.

Flangers are cool, if you like to sound like The Cure or Siouxsie & The Banshees - which I do sometimes - but that price is a joke. I have an MXR EVH Flanger which I bought in San Francisco for $100 and I think it sounds the business. I'll have to check out the clip later as my work computer won't let me do anything fun.

I can't say this without hideously mispronouncing either "flange" or "change" so they rhyme. It was trickery.

A friend of mine pronounces 'riff' as 'rift'.
He also learned the Stones 'Angie' note perfect from tablature, without ever having heard the song. We sat amazed as he frolicked meticulously through the intro, a carbon copy of the record, only to pronounce the first word, oft-repeated through the song 'Angie' with the same first syllable sound as 'angel'.
"Ane-gie"
"Aaaaaaaaaaane-gie"
"When will these clouds all disappeee-ee-eee-ar" etc.

Stewart, we've been mocking him about this every time we've seen him for the last seventeen years. Please don't spoil it.

i have a good story about a mate's brother singing 'get off my cloud' but it can't be explained in written form, i'd have to do an impersonation.
i'll just chuckle away to myself though, and you can pretend i've acted it out for you.

A chap at work still hasn't lived down singing "Carry me Queen!" to Caribbean Queen by Billy Ocean at the University hop.

Isn't it pronounced flan-ger
I always pronounced it flanger like changer, and a British person laughed at me and also convinced me I was wrong and it wasn't a stupid British word thing.

It's a celtic word - it's actually pronounced "fh-LORE" - but many people here don't know how to pronounce it either, so I wouldn't worry.

I thought it was Dutch and pronounced "Vlon-khair".
