I think that is what the call them, the cheaper ones that come with a gigbag. My local store has one for $500. It looks new. I don't think I can afford to buy it but a Flying V is on my "Bucket List". It's a guitar I always wanted because Naoko has one.

I'd say no myself. You used to be able to buy them new for 599. They are generally (although there are alwasy exceptions) notnear the wuality of the better gibson versions and since v's are not in style as much anymore, I see the better versions going for 6-700 often enough that if I wanted one, I would wait and find a good deal on the better version. (unless you went down there and it played like butter...but in my experience, the faded series are not generally put together with the same attention to detail.)

All the faded series I've played (Juniors, specials and a V) have been pretty bad. Don't do it.

they have been holding their value really good. i've been trying to find one under $500, but haven't done it yet.
i played an amazing one at a Best Buy, of all stores. totally creamed my pants.

Thanks! But I can't buy the V anymore. I spent the last of my cash on the Olympic. I was almost gonna trade my Electro for the Epi but I just couldn' t do it.
