Result of putting a hotter pickup in the neck than bridge?

Ok. I've got my Dimarzio Super Distortion and PAF Pro for my Vista Jagmaster now. However, the PAF Pro (originally for the neck) is F-Spaced, while the Super D is not.
Would it make more sense to have a go with the PAF in the bridge and the Super D in the neck, thereby going against the common wisdom of having the hotter pickup in the bridge? Would it sound stupid/unbalanced.
Or should I just put them in the more predictable positions, and try and align them so that each string sounds equal, despite the spacing of the polepieces being out? Does F-Spacing really matter?
Cheers.

Try it and see. If you have all the pickups already and don't have to buy anything, then you've nothing to lose.
Sorry if that's not helpful, but you might end up finding something that you really like the sound of that you wouldn't if someone told you not to try it.

That had kinda occured to me. I'll wait for more some more input, but cheers nonetheless. It could offer up a completely unique sound.
I'll wait to see what others can chime in with.

I use a PAF Pro in the bridge position in one of my guitars and it sounds great, I don't know about the super distortion in the neck though.

i actually have a similar setup going into my vista jagmaster, although a GFS twangmaster or whatever in the neck.
the super distortion i've got is vintage, so i'm not sure if that matters, and i tried it in the neck. i was really unable to get anything usable at any height. you may succeed where i failed, however.
i'll be going with my original plan since i was able to get some great tones out of the SD in the bridge. love that pickup.

If I were to go for the Super in the Bridge and the PAF in the neck, does it really matter soundwise that the polepieces won't line up proberly? I presume I can just angle the pickups to remedy that.

It doesn't matter that much, the pickups in my strat dont line up with the strings and it sounds fine.

Cool, cheers. I'm still undecided as to what I'll do. Probably just go with the Super in bridge, PAF in neck; but I'm unsure.

continuing with what paul said, definitely try both. it's not like you really have to rewire anything.
