Hofner Club. She has had her eye on it for a while now and on our travels we found a very similar one for a too good to be true price. We decided to try it out and think on it. Then when it was decided that she was goo get it, the weather was so bad so instead of travelling we went to a local shop to have a look at another one which we tried out there. The one locally was a completely different guitar and made the cheap one seem like a cheap copy so we bought it there and then and got a few quid off and a case, a lead and some picks thrown in.

The one we didnt bother getting seemed as if was a factory second or something and thats why it was so cheap. The guy ho was selling it also seemed rather quick to tell me that it was "brand new".

Anyway, I'm jealous of her now.

They have one of these in my local shop and its the only guitar in there i like to be honest.
I had double cut Hofner a few years ago, it was quite a unique guitar in looks and sound with its mini humbuckers and like a blend pot. Someone could really develop their sound around one of these.

I stole it for a few hours and put it through my little trace elliot and it sounded fantastic. Both pickups on and the boost thing set on rhythm it was nice and warm then flick the switch from rhythm to "solo" for what seems to be a high end boost. Also sounds a beast through the MBM russian muff that I'm currently keeping away from BobArsecake.

If i played more subtle music, perhaps blues or Indie i'd give one of these a go myself, like i said i reckon you could really attain a unique sound and look.

I wanted one in sunburst when they first came out with this issue. Super freaking cool.

Love the switching system... think it's the same as the violin bass which I was surprised I liked.

Would be intrigued to give that a whirl.
