shortscale art thread

Post by DanHeron »

I thought maybe we could have a thread like the photography thread but for general art work? I know a few people on here draw/paint etc...

For Uni I had to manipulate this image to represent words:
► Show Spoiler
One word was 'brand' and so re-created the image in a brand logo style thing:

I'm working on photoshopping the design onto t-shirts and stuff. Places where you would expect to find a brand logo. It's only a 2 week project.

Also done some collage stuff. I like using magazine/newspaper photos:

I love the collages. I used to do a lot more of that when I had better access to physical media. Keep up on that stuff!

The other, well it's fine, I'm just not a fan of pop/commerical graphic design shitz.

Cheers! Just before I throw away any magazine/newspaper etc I look through it for good photos and bits of text to cut out. I'm starting to build up a collection of journalistic photos and cook bits of type. I have some more I will put up soon.

And yeah.. the logo is a bit of the boring/commercial side of graphic design. It's fun to do and stuff but not the best to look at I guess.
